Transitions

With Ambex's summer semester just around the corner, we are gearing up for our campus' relocation. While we have loved our time in the charming city of Amberg, the program's needs, with increasing enrollment, have forced us to rethink the benefits of settling into the nearby, larger city of Regensburg.
Regensburg, a city of 130,000, is one of Bavaria's most charming, well-preserved historic cities. It is a UNESCO world heritage site, which boasts an absolutely breathtaking city center. As a German University town, it is loaded with cafes, library's, museums, sports centers, theaters, great shopping, entertainment events, and much more -- all catering to a hip, young college-aged public.

Some of the Regensburg sight-highlights include:
  • The Dom - a 1275-1634 built Cathedral
  • The Stone Bridge - a spectacular example of medieval architecture
  • Remains of one of Germany's only original Roman fortresses
  • The Town Hall
  • The Gothica Villa - Bavarian King's residence
  • Thurn and Taxis Castle
  • Botanical Gardens
  • Walhalla - King Ludwig's reproduction of the Parthenon
