AmbEx's First Super Weekend

AmEx’s first super weekend was quite a success!

At the end of each 3-week intensive unit, students are given a 4-day weekend to relax, recharge, and explore. Professor James Venezia wrapped up his Christian Worldview course on Thursday, February 7, and after a rigorous week of preparing for their final exam, students were excited for their first opportunity to travel alone since their arrival.

One group took the opportunity to visit Fuessen, a charming town nestled in the Tirolian Alps, and Schwangau, where King Ludwig's Neuschwanstein castle overlooks the valley. The second group of students made good use of their Eurail passes with a long-distance trip to Zurich, Interlocken, and Lucerne, Switzerland. This adventuresome group took the chance to explore several alpine settings before returning to Amberg.

All of the AmbEx students have returned safely and are keeping themselves busy writing their final research papers for Professor James Venezia’s Worldview course and reading preparatory materials for Reformation History with Pastor Dan Duncan, scheduled to begin on Monday.
