Dresden

Our busy and extraordinary week began a trek to Dresden, famed for its Baroque styled old town. We took a city tour during which we saw sites such as the Zwinger and the Frauenkirche, Semper Opera House etc..

The Frauenkirche

Dresden is widely considered a cultural hub of Germany and we were afforded the luxury of experiencing some of it touring the Old Master's Art Gallering housing works by Vermeer, Durer, and Rafael including his Sistine Madonna. That same evening some ventured to the Frauenkirche to take in the sounds of Dresden's famous boys' choir which was a truly remarkable experience.
