Students dispersed in many directions this weekend. About half of the students took a day trip to Nuremberg on Friday to enjoy some of the city’s specialty cakes and enjoy the general ambiance. The other half went to Poppenricht, a neighboring town, to make an authentic German dinner with the choir leader from the German church, Michael Hutter.
After Mr. Duncan preached at the Free Christian Church, the entire AmbEx cohort was invited to the home of local missionaries, the Jetts, to have lunch and socialize before car-pooling to the nearby village of Kallmünz. Students who attended played frisbee next to the Naab River before hiking a hill in the center of town to medieval castle ruins overlooking the valley. The warm weather made the day a treat for all.
Mission Statement -- In fidelity to Scripture and to the glory of the person and work of Jesus Christ our Savior, AMBEX exists to teach Christian students the vital historical and theological foundations of the Protestant, Evangelical Christian faith, through a personal, comprehensive, and life-changing in-class and on-the-road academic experience, and through involvement in the European missions activities of local churches in Regensburg, Germany, and central Europe.
