Q: Are the long weekend trips to Athens, Rome and London (for example) additional costs to the term?

A: Yes, only the "Land of Luther" academic tour and perhaps a 1-2 day trip to Prague & Dresden are included in the program cost. All other outings/trips, recreation, etc., are additional and discretionary expenses, borne by the individual.

Never-the-less - if you shop on-line e.g. continental airfares may be relatively inexpensive, especially this time of year.
